The pipe work on your fmic set up looks the business. I've one fitted to my passat as well and as you've said there isn't much room to work with when fitting the pipe work even on the smaller 1.9pd motor.
When you fit the gtb2260vk what sort of power are you hoping to achieve?

The Passat coilovers won't fit the a4. Yes I found that out but I've fitted the spax psx to the 1997 A4 1.8t I bought for £400, which I've been tidying up for winter driving, as I need to get the passat off the road for a while to carry out a few repairs and fit the gtb2260vk along with modifying ...

Re: Mettalic Black Highline AWX PD130 213chp & 319lbsft
Today I'm pulling the JOM redline coil overs out of passat to be replaced by a Spax psx adjustable damping rate kit with fixed ride height. Basically need the car to do a bit of towing work from time to time and realistically the JOM coil overs would not be up to it. Anyway the JOM coil overs will b...

Its happened again.....the need 6-paddle clutch is starting to squeal after only 3K miles....so I'm going to continue drive it for a while before the clutch is removed and sent back to the supplier....hopefully for a 5 or 4 -paddle....

As usual things are either breaking or falling off.....this time its the rear top arm on the drivers side that decided to let go anyway I had to drive the car 60 miles to get home at 40mph the whole way. On the drive way tonight I've removed the broken arm, which snapped off just like the last one.....

Fitted the V6 snub nose mount this morning.....definitely a good low cost mod as it certainly reduces engine movement whilst not increasing any vibration from the engine :-bd . The original one that I removed was like a sponge in comparision to the new one. http://i709.photobucket.com/albums/ww100/l...

Re: Mettalic Black Highline AWX PD130 213chp & 319lbsft
Fitted the bottom oem brace, however I'm not really sure if it makes that much difference really so front and rear ant-roll bars are now on the agenda plus I need to fit the final set of powerflex bushings I have for the front lower arms. After that it'll be the fitting of the V6 snub nose mount to ...

Recently the squealing from the Sachs clutch increased to the point that I thought it was the release bearing.....so gearbox out only to discover that the paddle clutch had worn down to the rivets and had ground about 2mm out of the pressure plate leaving a noticeable wear lip......afetr only 9,500m...

Re: Mettalic Black Highline AWX PD130 213chp & 319lbsft
The lowering of the CR was only marginal to compensate for the head skim.....there is only so far you can recess the valves due to the amount of metal available in the seat and to ensure you don't affect flow. Also the last thing I wanted was any increase in CR especially with a tonne of fuel and bo...

Haha Like the last comment :) about the rotary engine :) Anyway that is the point , diesels ar not engines that you want to rev high . Did you kept the stock springs ? did you berried the valves in the head or left them out and increased the piston pockets ? How big can I go without touching piston...

Re: Mettalic Black Highline AWX PD130 213chp & 319lbsft
The arm which broke was an original arm and the replacement one I fitted was supplied by Euro Car Parts. The replacement one cost £36. I do believe that its down to the lack of suspension movement due to the upgraded bushings, as there really is very limited sideways movement on the arm when fitted.

wooooooooow that was a nasty one .. A friend of mine had one similar but in a bend ..
