Anyway the box is now rebuilt with a new main bearing and new synchro rings on 2nd gear as it was gettin...

Re: vag-com, turning off egr ve not pd
Yes duty cycle of the EGR can be adjusted using Vag-com....did it years ago on my TDI golf, however just removed the complete egr on my passat and fitted an allard straight through pipe. Just one problem the ecu has thrown a CEL which will be removed when the car is remapped next week. The real diff...

Re: TDI nut from Northern Ireland
Going smf with the aim of about 230hp and 350lbs ft with present set up then a set of uprated injectors will be fitted and a cam if I can get one ground from a blank....so ultimately hoping for 250hp and 380lbs ft......regards the clutch doesn't really worry me as I've a heavily tuned 2001 ALH VP37 ...

The cars a late 2006 1.9TDI SE with the following faults: 00550-032 Start of injection regulation 00551-224 Cat temperature too high The glow plug light comes on and the car will drop into limp mode..... Re: TDI nut from Northern Ireland
Bit of an update on the passat....been fitting a fmic.... This pic gives an idea of the size of the fmic http://i709.photobucket.com/albums/ww100/leon10tagg/SNV33743a.jpg The straps supplied with the kit to hold it in place were useless so I made my own and welded them to the crash bar... http://i70...

Re: TDI nut from Northern Ireland
It's reasonably nippy at present even though its a bit of a heavy weight :???: . Torque Tronix's in Kells NI will be doing the mapping on his hub dyno pack. With all the inlet and outlet mods I would like 220+hp 350+lbs ft.....but lets wait and see what the dyno says and I'll post up the print out :...
