Hi - on cold mornings I have a really annoying squeak from the rear lining, left side of my B7 estate . Sounds like a metal clip agitating against the bodywork. Is there a quick fix? The whole side lining looks like a pain to remove, just to lube a clip!

Got mine sorted. Bloomin sounder (yes it is in the rear pillar) had gone open-circuit. A new one got the system all working...

Not in the dashboard??

Thanks - I'm also getting the persistent beep whenever reerse is selected.

Do you think there any CarPlay units on the market which DO retain the parking sensors?

I did the same - Jap import, 2012 with 30K miles

Old head unit can't be changed - need an android CanBus unit. Don't go cheap - (my dealer did!) - I should get an Xtrons or Pioneer

Dealer installed a cheap Android head unit - sees to work OK with CarPlay etc but the VW reversing sensor system has failed.

Am I right in thinking that the old stock stereo was important link with the parking sensors?

Looked at a tidy B7 yesterday but no tools.

The foam insert was there but empty.

Also, did all B7s come with a spare, or a space saving spare, or just a compressor+gunk?
