Not sure if you have MF S/wheel or not. If you do, hit 'ok' on the sw and forget about the 'hour minute' button bit. I actually did this today by coincidence and it worked fine.

No worries, glad to help. Should have said: It would help to have another person with you and also, you might have to tweak/adj the door latch striker plate...I did (8mm splined bit iirc)

Yes, I did this last year. Fairly straightforward job. No need to touch the dash.
Try to mark around the existing hinge plates before loosening the bolts to give a guide for the new hinge.
Hi, Just saying hello from Ireland. Got myself a nice B7 estate (exec BMT spec) in England last year.
