theres a writeup at myturbodiesel.com, but it stops 2/3 way through and wants money

ok 120k miles = 190k km so a bit more than my german handbooks says,
but fk me, 4 years, can that be right? lots of other makes say 10 years.

you sure u got a comon rail?
(engine cover with diagonal raised bits = CR,

perpindicular raised bits = PD )
i was sure 2009 was 1st year with CR.

my handbook says 180k (km) but I see no reference to years.
Im on 150k (km) now and its never been changed ... borrowed time?

hang on, if you have an 08 then its PD not common rail, shorter interval.

found the interval. hidden in plain view -in the car handbook
for a common rail engine its 180k km
for pd engine its 120k km
makes sense really, pd has a lot more stress on the belt due to high pressure PD injectors driven off the cam

update,the ugly holder is still there but I used VCDS to disable it and now connect to phone directly with radio. it works.

I bought a complete head unit with dvd bt, phonebook, reverse cam, and ipod direct. for my t5 for less than the module alone!
