Parts fiche . . .

Hi there,
Can anyone tell me if there is an online, or downloadable parts fiche (ETKA?) for a B8?
I've had a cursory look online, but VW seem reluctant to publish parts lists!
Thanks

Re: Carplay . . .

Thank you mrderv, I'll give them a call.
But is this just a computer switch or is the purchasing of a code necessary, do you know?
Cheers.

Re: Carplay . . .

mrderv, Thank you for replying! I thought that may be the case . . . Silly question:- I have a VCDS cable (bought for a T6.1 campervan) and can make amendments to the can-bus computer. Is this simply a computer tweak or do I have to buy the CarPlay software (by way of an enablement code)? I'll go ge...

Carplay . . .

Hi there,
Does anyone know why I've been quoted over £300 to get CarPlay working in a 2016 Passat?
Does it need a new head unit or something?
. . .and please don't say it's because it's a VW!!! :D

Retro fitting front fogs.....

Does anyone know the wiring for the retro fit front fogs on a 2002 1.9TDi Sport? I've looked in these forums but the only description I can find refers to pictures that are missing! I have the wiring loom (bought from Germany) and with it comes an A4 sheet with instructions.......except they are cle...

Re: VAGCOM - SW London?

Thanks for the offer Ricky.

I guess £41 is still cheaper than the fuel to Sheffield!
....but I can't believe that no-one on this forum could point me to a kindly soul who lives anywhere near here AND who likes beer! :-o

Oh well......

Re: VAGCOM - SW London?

OK guys, don't panic! I've found a place to switch on my retro fitted cruise control......my nearest garage has a unit and they took all of four minutes to plug in, load up the software, navigate to the page, punch in the code.......and all for £41 (inc VAT). Still, it's all working and I love it. ...

VAGCOM - SW London?

Before I try a local Seat garage that I know has a VAGCOM, does anyone know of a nice dude in my neck of the woods (Wimbledon - or environs) who'll be able to switch on my retro fitted cruise control in the ECU? I've looked on vagcomlocator.com and the nearest guy to me - in Oxshott - seems to be un...

Re: Post cruise control fit.......

Hey Tristan, The kit your link refers to is as good as any - it certainly looks the same as mine. I got mine from Germany - but to be honest , with the postage plus the euro conversion etc - it didn't save me much. I don't know about dealer prices but you can be assured they'll be more ;) The instal...

Re: Post cruise control fit.......

Well, the C/C doesn't work - but thankfully the windscreen wipers do! The M25 was torrential this afternoon.

Does anyone know where I can find someone with a VAG-COM computer anywhere near Wimbledon?

Thanks,
Jon

Re: Post cruise control fit.......

Great, thanks guys.
I'll just give it a go tomorrow.

If it's not operational I'll need someone with a VAG-COM setup.
Can I find out here if there's anyone near Wimbledon?

Cheers,
Jon

Post cruise control fit.......

Hi all, First post here - love the site and the forums. Thanks to 64 Split for the great fitting instructions - and pictures. What amazes me, after today, is how the heck did he get those pictures? I had enough trouble fiddling about under the dash without trying to get a camera in there as well! An...
