35i brake upgrade?

evenin'.

what would be a good easy oem brake upgrade for a 1.8 CL?

do the 2.0 or gts have better front brakes or can i take the carriers calipers etc from a golf gti? does my lack of ABS cause any upgrade problems?

cheers all.
