You need the amplifier!! My standard head unit has rubbish reception and it is down to the aerial base unit (water ingress!!). Chipped and panel filter, stainless exhaust:
Motorway - daily commute (40miles each way) 30-35 MPG at 85-90 Mph!!
Round town - usually around the 25-30 mark depending on who is in the car (high end if its the wife!!)

That was the problem with mine too!!! Could lock the car from the boot but the boot never locked, solenoid was jammed and the little wire connecting the solenoid to the mechanism was missing, all sorted for a tenner, bargain!!

like the rims mate, and have you tried the glass paint on the rear interior bulbs mate? interested if the result was good as its a bit of a pain doing the route i did for blue lights (especitally as i didnt keep them long :roll: ) your making a fair bit of progress quickly arent you :) Hopefully go...

Looking at doing my timing belt before my marathon drive to italy for holiday!!!
Any recommendations on the best ones and costs etc.!!!!!
Presumably a new water pump is a good idea at the same time???

Only thing I can think of is a faulty ABS valve?? I know when you bleed the brakes you have to be careful not to push the piston back in without bleeding at the same time as the valve can flip back the wrong way. This may be causing the problem and would explain why they seemed ok after cleaning up ...

Mine used to flash for a few seconds on startup, was told it just needed recharging, got it recharged, stopped flashing!!! Certainly worth a try before you go the expensive route!!!

Standard B5 wheels are 45 offset front and back. Guide says 32-45 so sounds like you might need spacers??
