Re: What can I get for 5k
Thanks lads for every little help.
I thought about changing to a b5.5 but looking at it just looks the same as my current b5 and the new b6 has far too much problems which put me right off.

Re: What can I get for 5k
How new do you want it to be ? I would stay with a diesel and tune it a bit, the PD engine still returns decent economy even with a stage 2/3 of tuning ! If it's the newer b7 audi then yes, they were riddled with problems so you have a reason to stay away ! For me a nicely done b6 a4 avant will do ...

Thanks for everyones reply. Been trying hard to avoid the Passat B6's cause recently read a forum that a guy parked his car up a hill then the automatic handbrake failed which made his car roll into someone else car. Re: Getting put off buying an b6 now
Thanks for everyone's comments!!! Really loved the Passat B6 space and looks wise, but at the end of the day I want something reliable without burning a hole in my wallet.
Any other cars yous guys would recommend me?
Audi b7 I actually quite like, but the price of them are above my budget!
