EGR valve replaced. Rollback and re-map done. All in not cheap, but results are amazing.

Just got off the phone with the Tuner and we've agreed to do the rollback and then re-map. Increased BHP from 140 to 180 he reckons plus all the other benefits.

Thank you so much. Really helpful. This is our Family car and having more power doesn't really matter as much as reliability. I'll go the Rollback route for now and maybe later consider the re-map.

The emissions update was done in Nov 2016 so deadline has passed. Decided to go with replacing the egr valve and maintaining the car with quality diesel and fuel additives.

Still require a recommended VW specialist in Surrey/Sussex area to do the software roll back..

Have you diagnosed a defective compressor or was it the garage? What were your fault symptoms? Can you see the label on the compressor, and if so, what model number or part number does it have? Is the compressor pulley held in place by a bolt, or is it a nut on the end of the compressor shaft? The ...

I cannot see the maker/model number from looking down through the engine bay. Is there any other way of identifying which one it is please?
