2004 passat b5.5 got s-line wheels $225 tire size 235/45r17 bolted right up no issues. std height suspension.

I work in a VW shop and have seen more then a few fail.

Gates are super cheap water pumps.. never use them!!!

Hope this helps!!! Only use oem water pumps.. I've been working on Vw's for a very long time.. All after market pumps leak. I've seen them leak after only 5k's. after all that work of a timing belt job you will kicking yourself when it's starts to leak.. pay the extra $20-$30 for the factory part..

I've worked on VW's for many years.. Yes sometimes 1 valves or 2 valves.. very rare that piston's are damaged. They do have cut outs..sometimes it doesn't even damage values..

Check out EBC brakes they have a set up for every budget.. 12 different stages for the B 5.5.. 4 wheels $400-$2500..

Check your drain hole in the sun roof.. 1 leaf can block the hole then it drains into the apiler. It's a huge problem with the b5.5.. the airbag and automatic module are under floor and are very expensive to replace. check forms on the net there's tons of related info on this..
