abs or no abs?
evening all. I'm getting a bit piissed off with the dealer that I bought my passat off of. when I bought it, it went back for a few things and one of them was to investigate the clicking cv joint. they didn't for some reason and I took it back last wednesday. the keep fobbing me off with excuses as ...

Re: climatic confussion
i think it switches off the compressor so is more like a normal heater. the compressor is driven by a belt from the engine which is why it uses a bit more fuel

Re: Pick up???
SEveral Estate mondeos have been done and don't look too bad. 1 or 2 were done properly so looked weel but some have literally just been cut n welded so look a bit more rough edit... I found an old thread about a mk3 mondeo pickup that was seen out n about http://www.fordmondeo.org/forum/showtopic....

Re: Hello from wiltshire. a few questions
I haven't taken any pics yet but i will soon. she needs a clean first. i've had her less than 2 weeks and done 700 miles already so you can probably guess how dirty she is. i've already fitted an in-dash cd changer, 3 spoke steering wheel, rs4 style matte chrome mirrors backplates and very soon, an ...

Re: passat won't start
i'm presuming you had to remove fuel pipes to change the engine. if so, you will need to bleed the system cos there will be air in there. get someone to crank the engine over. whilst they are doing that, crack off the pipe for injector 1 about 1/4 of a turn until fuel comes out. lock the nut back up...

the awx engine is a diesel right? in which case, have you bled the air out of the fuel system?

interior lights and vents
how do all. does anyone know how to remove the rear interior lights and the front centre vents on a b5.5? the light is the one with the sensors in. it has a blown bulb and it doesn't seem to want to come out. the vent also has a blown bulb but prising it out doesn't work. cheers

evening all. i've just bought a 6 disc in dash changer to fit in my b5.5 in place of the single cd unit. my question is, how do you remove the stereo and cd player? do I need VAG specific removal tools or will normal sony etc flat removal tools work? where do the removal tools need to be put to remo...

Re: engine workshop message
this may sounds tupid, but check your brakelights are all working. apparently vw's can bring on the glowplug light if a brakelight bulb/connection/switch is duff. do a bit of googling and you'll find it is quite common. other than that, it could be dodgy glowplugs, glow plug relay, wiring but the br...

Re: cd changer
it depends. would I have to cut my boot about to fit it and would the connection already be in the boot to plug it in? what would be the best price you'd be prepared to go to? I've currently got a snipe on a dash one which ends in a couple of days so I'll see if I win that one first. thanks

cd changer
good afternoon. I'm a little confused and i'm hoping someone can help me out. I picked up my early 2002 passat se today. Apparently they have a cd changer fitted as standard in the SE's. the manual says that it will be in the boot but I can't find it anywhere. the only cd player in the dash is the s...

Re: Replacing sidelight bulbs - HOW THE F***?
to gain access to the nearside bulbs, you need to unbolt the PAS resevoir then pull it up out of the way. summit like 2 bolts and it'll be free. I can't remember if there is a fusebox or summit there aswell but if there is, it just slots out. every1 where I used to work used to struggle doing bulbs ...

GTI Wheels
Morning people. I was wondering if any of you have any pics of the wheels fitted to your b5.5's? In particular, I am after pics of one fitted with the GTI wheels as sometimes fitted to the MK5 golf. I'm trying to decide what wheels I'm gonna want to fit and it'd be easier if I'm able to see what the...

Hello from wiltshire. a few questions
Hi. As you can guess, I am new to this forum. I have just bought a 2002 130 tdi b5.5 which I pick up on friday. I do have a few q's aswell. The first question is, how easy is it to take the headlights apart to fit LED strips, audi stylee? would it be best just to buy aftermarket headlights? Do the s...
