Just an update on the gearbox, it hasn't broken yet and has covered about 40,00 miles since the noise came back in June 2011. It's getting a bit more noisy, depending on how warm the weather is. Mileage is about 175,000. It may be false economy to hang on like this and I now have a contact out Brist...
