Manual to auto swap b5.5
Hello folks. I tried to search the forum on my phone but didn't succeed. Is it possible and rational to change the gearbox from 5-spd manual to auto tiptronic?

Re: B5.5 TDI 4 Motion,Full Votex, coils & fat fives.
How does it respond to sharp hits like pot holes? Does the PU have the give of rubber but firmness also? I know yours is awd, but my fwd rear beam is horrible. No forgiveness of any sharp bumps, even small. The front glides over then the rear just hammers home and the entire rear of the car judders ...

Wow those are smart. Do you have poly bushes throughout now? I'd like to know what they are like, especially on the rear.

Great thanks folks. I'll have a look tomorrow and get the remap asap. Any issues running with the eml in the meantime?

Yes, remap coming. Seems guys drive with the eml and ignore it. Is that ok?
Also, I thought there was no o2 sensor so how does the damn thing know there's no egr? If maf reading too much air consumption?
REMAP! Getting rid of damn emissions poo that kills the engine.

Re: EGR pipe now deleted more power??
Hi Gazwould
You mentioned Alard kit. I fitted one to my 04, got the eml warning straight away. But my problem is above 3k I got plumes of smoke and power drops off like ecu kills the boost or something. I connected the egr and idle vacuum lines. Should I just blank them individually?
Thanks

Alard motorsport egr delete
Hello folks Anyone fitted an egr delete kit that removes the egr, blanks the exhaust manifold and removes the idle valve also? I've fitted an alard motorsport kit and got a check emissions warning on the dash and plumes of smoke above 3k with a drop in power like the ecu kills the boost suddenly. Ki...

Not a passat but its cousin. I suspect you are correct and the reflector will come out easily.

Re: Remove projector from housing/new housing without projec
Hi Con. Are you fixing dual beam projectors or were you referring to those when you said bi-xenons? Can you get a picture through the rear cover?
I agree, removing the lense is no problem, done it plenty myself also. Just got to be quick in the oven and not too hot. And preheat it.

Parkins14, what will you make up the rest of your system with? I'm considering the same, ordered the very decat pipe shown. I don't want lots of noise though. Thanks

I'd always say bosch as I believe they are properly calibrated. And I'm surprised by that price, it is good compared to my previous findings. Where were you quoted that please?

Thanks oriont. Are these 4-motion dampers? Also, the shocks don't drop, that would be the springs as they settled. I'm keen to see by how much you feel that they settled. Thanks

Re: tdi/1.8t intercooler and pipework differences?!
Looking into it myself Matt and I believe it will fit. Only slight difference are between the location of the turbo outlet and manifold inlet but I believe they are minor! May I ask what kit you plan to use? I'm leaning to fitting a S4, TT or vRS all ally rhs intercooler plus duct and routing turbo ...
