i've got myself in a bit of a pickle trying to fit an amp to my stereo and i need a wiring diagram for the speakers i've spent ages looking on the net and can't find one i found ones for a other vw models like mk7 golf but they all have different colour wires can anyone help,

mine started doing the same long cranking and sometimes wont start read a few posts about it possibly being the battery even though it seemed to turn over ok. replaced the battery and its not done it since. modern cars can be very sensitive to battery voltage.

looks like your right it doesn't have ad blue, my mistake i thought all euro 6 vw's had ad blue.

this might sound like a stupid question i have just bought a 2.0tdi bluemotion passat estate and cant see the adblue filler ,the manual says its under the fuel flap or i have seen a saloon with it in the boot on the right hand side but still cant find it ,does my car even have adblue ?

ooh that brings back memories mine flew apart when taking out the glove box, i printed off a few pictures from the net and about 3 people tried and nobody could work it out, i did eventually get it back together but i've no idea how i did it i think it was more luck than anything else, but it is doa...

fitted mine with a valeo SM kit, silent to rattle and very smooth , i did mine on my drive by myself with just a couple of trolley jacks, the the best way to do it but it can be done, just dropped the box and pulled it back enough to get at the flywheel bolts.

my mpg dropped by 3mpg when i changed from 15" to 17" alloys.

i had this happen to mine about 2 years ago and when i asked around on here nobody else had heard of the problem, but i suppose up until a couple of years ago most of these car would have never seen a lot of snow. the problem is the under tray has two big vents in the bottom which scoop the snow in....

some pads do have a chamfer but it's on the top and bottom of the pad not the sides, the pads should be contacting all of the disc, i would the carriers are mounted correctly.

if your car is lowered they can cause problems in the snow, mine scooped up loads of snow last winter through the vents on the bottom and completely filled the engine bay with snow and stopped the car so i had to rip it off at the road side :shock: i do agree however it's probably better to have one...

today my mate pulled along side me at work with another PD passat and i compared his car to mine, the top hose on mine was firmer the his and when the cap was loosened on his expansion cap it made a small hiss and the fluid level in the expansion bottle remained the same. on my car when the cap was ...

mine has exactly the same symptoms as yours for the last two journeys to and from work (20 miles each way)i've kept it steady no more than 2,000rpm and the car didn't loose a drop, on my way home tonight once i got off the motorway it's country lanes for about 6 miles pushed it a bit revving to 4,00...

that seems like a good price for getting the head done i think that's the route i will be going if my heads gone, take it off my self and get it refurbed , how involved is it changing the injectors, isn't there special tools needed

your problem sounds exactly the same as mine, does yours blow any water out if driven steady, mine only blows water out of the bottle if i drive it hard ,it's had a new thermostat, heater gets nice and warm has water flow back into expansion bottle and never overheats but still blows the water out o...

i think i might be having the same problem with my 115pd keeps blowing the water out of the expansion bottle, i wouldn't have thoght you can get the headgasket changed for anywhere near £350

i've tried bleeding the system again , pulled off the heater hose to reveal the bled hole, raised up the expansion bottle, revving the engine till water shoots out, but i can still hear a gurgling sound from inside the car where the heater box is.

i don't have my mind set on removing the head, i've also heard bad things about removing the head and getting it skimmed, i'm trying to be as sure as i can as to what the problem might be before it start pulling things apart. if it turns out there is a problem with the head i will have to have a goo...

i just fitted cruise to my passat, bought the kit from TPS £68 inc vat, straight forward enough job there is a good guide in the how to section ,much better than the vw instructions

if the water pump isn't spinning correctly wouldn't the car have to overheat first before it would blow water out the expansion bottle.

yes genuine vw from dealers, cars temp was dropping on motorway so changed the stat and a 50/50 mix of g12 and since them temp is rock solid at 90c even now when it blows water out the temp never rises.

i have noticed a kind of water sloshing sound that you can here from the centre dash board vents, i did fit a new thermostat a few months ago and the car has been fine since ,maybe they is some trapped air in the matrix ? i've come to the conclusion that if you drive it steady it's fine it's only if...

my mate changed the water pump last time it wasn't a vw part i think it was a unipart pump but i've no idea if it had a plastic impeller

the timing belt is due in about 5k anyway so hopefully if it just needs the belt, tensioners and water pump it won't be to bad, it did have a new water pump last time the belt was replaced but i don't know if it was a metal impeller one. mine is a very early pd with a different type of tensioner fit...
