Still need your engine code because of the infamous 77mm oil pump drive .
According to my invoice the engine code is CBA 785473

Re: Kinda newbie

Sometimes when the right car comes along the last choice we get is the colour. Sounds an interesting colour, im on my second reflex silver VW and hopefully the last, its a nice silver but horrible to match, repair or even panel match with decent spare bits, which are almost impossible to find at sa...

£400ish, but they do go on offer from time to time so will be waiting to see when they come down in price. During that time I will be looking at making sure the car is running all good before I go down the remap route.

Re: B6 written off.

Shame you couldn't buy it back & just repair it with salvage parts...? Hindsight is a wonderful thing, yeah maybe that would have been the best cause of action but at the time i had a lot of stuff going on and didn't have the time to do it myself. Then to top it off, the wife has been funny abo...

B6 written off.

Hi all, i had B6 written off 2 months ago by one of my neighbours. I should state that we live on a hill, the hand brake failed on the neighbour car who lives at the top of the hill and her car rolled into mine. I still think that she reversed into it  but i can't prove that. Its all gone thou...

Re: Passat B6. Indicator in Door Mirror not working.

The wife's Mk6 Golf got swiped by an oncoming car at night last year, and virtually the whole shell was destroyed. Indeed, she was quite lucky that it didn't break her driver-side window, it hit the glass so hard. Needless to say, the other driver didn't stop to exchange his details. The dam...

Replacing headlight assembly

Hi all, its MOT time in 2 months and looking at getting a couple of bits sorted before it goes in, like the driver side front roll bar as it has started to rattle in the last couple of weeks and the other has been an advisory for the last 4 years from the looks of the history, iv now had it 18 month...

Re: How far do you go with a full tank?

I usually get around 600 miles to a tank, with my daily commute and driving around the city at the weekend. Trip computer always says that i could get 750 miles when i fill up, i have always assumed that would have to be purely motor way miles to achieve that.
