Re: 1.8t poor mpg?
Hello people! Well. Today was the day. Plugs back to copper. Temp sender changed. New/different oil. Also found the main crankcase breather broken!! All fixed within a day, took way longer than it should have done due to the pipe breaking up in the oil filter housing. So all breather pipes, oil cool...

Wow guys, thankyou so much for your replies. Parts of everyone's replies have all been in my mind.
Its manual and I'm running the 5w40 after doing the sump and pick up pipe.
I really appreciate all of these replies once again!
Thankyou very much Sean!

1.8t poor mpg?
Hi everyone, just a quick question regarding my 2001 1.8t estate. I understand with it being s big car and a petrol turbo, it isn't going to be the best on fuel. However it just seems to be terrible. Unless I drive around forty five mph, it will only do 34mpg at a push. I also have suspicions over t...

These cars are just a perfect example of proper engineering! And after my 3 hour journey, i met a fellow b5.5 owner..... And of course we had to put them again...
