headlights

Just bought some halo headlights for my b5.5, but found out they are for the b5!! Will these fit?! They also have changed to the h1 bulbs?!

silicone hoses!

hi guys, just wondered whether any has swapped all turbo/intake pipes for a complete silicone replacement? I have looked on the web and couldn't really find anything for it? its a 1.9tdi 130 avf!

any help on finding one would be greatly appreciated!

I must say, thankyou very much for that advice as it worked a treat and my Passat is working itd way back I'm nto my heart :)

Yeah it is bareable but I cant give it some real stick and that's what I miss most :( why cant they just let us have a chance of keeping a better car on the road!!!

Yeah the synchro for third and fourth are quite bad so need a six speed box. All the ones on ebay have gone apparently to people who are building kit cars!? :S

What are the benefits of upgrading the top mounts for lower springs? Is it an actual upgrade or just as they'll be new?

Well that is what im thinking. VAG spent thousands if not millions designing that engine, gearbox and flywheel set up for a reason. Thanks guys I think I've made my mind up!

Haha well, I am a mechanic with a very generous boss!, but I have never had someone ask me to do the single conversion. Ive just always stuck to keeping it standard as its that way for a reason. I had access to a ramp, if thats what you mean mate?

It was dodo juice soft compound clay! :( yeah I used about 250ml just on the bonnet! I did it back and forth and not circular like polishing but still didn't go well! I polished a quarter of the bonnet after and it came out quite nicely but you surely shouldn't have too polish the scratches out afte...

Being s mechanic which I have loads of problems with these.... They need to be genuine or they are an bum!!!! It may cost a little more but there isn't any hassle! Also depending which switch you have if its the threaded one then you just adjust it accordingly!

Keep powering it up mate whilst pulling on the latch. It will go, you just need to un jam the lock!
