Re: Who are these boys?

Cheers Bobman, ure on the ball when it comes to all things UKP! The blue estate slammed at The Pod probably GTi Festival looks really nice, rolling on polished A8 rims. Re: tint choice

I think 50% all round is spot on, thats what I have and it looks exactly how I wanted. I opted for 35% in the rear windscreen so ppl behind can`t see in. I have a dark cloth interior which really adds to the tints looking that bit darker.. Here`s two photos, look how dark they look when the sun is`n...

Who are these boys?

I was curious as to whether the owner of the dark blue B5 saloon slammed with all red rear lights and tinted windows is a member of the site? There is a photo of the car in a convoy going to possibly UD, sometimes visible at the top of UKP pages Also, is this guy a member? http://img.photobucket.com...

Re: 19" rs6's fitted

I really like this car, looks like a proper cruiser slammed on big rims. I`d go for a dark shade of grey for sure, just sold my 18` RS6`s which I had sprayed in charcoal grey metallic. They were evil lookin..

Re: Replica wheels. Diamond cut underneath paint!

Sounds as though somebody has 'refurbed' them and cut a few corners. Instead of machining the damage out they have painted over the polished metal to save alot of time.. I used to work at Chrysler/Jeep. The 300c and 300c Touring come with diamond cut wheels as an optional extra. I saw a mobile compa...

Coventry- slammed estate

Wednesday or Thursday night last wk I saw a slammed B5.5 I think it was on the TGI Fridays roundabout. Think it was a dark grey, the last three letters of the plate were LOW and it had some bright orange dish faced rims

Would have said Hi but I was in the wrong lane to follow

Re: Are you scared to spend money?

I work Monday-Friday 7.00am-4.30pm and don`t really get a proper, set break in the day. I`m on my feet nearly all day and although my job keeps me fit it can be quite tiring. The way I`ve started looking at things is that I work hard and long hours and I`m entitled to spend some money treating mysel...

I did`nt realise this was ure car mate, I remember it before with the standard 16` rims sprayed dark. I saw the wagon at UD, I really appreciate the amount of work you`ve put into the car. Not really my taste because I prefer more subtle stuff but its brillaint to see another passat representing us ...

By law number plates need to be reflective and there is only one specific font that is legal in this country. Are these plates still legal?

Re: The DUBSCENE - Whats your views on it right now

I`ve been into 'Dubs' since about 1998, I remember going to GTi International at the TRL in my first car (Ford Orion) because I knew I`d buy a mk2 GTi next.. Sure enough I bought a black 8v, kept it for four yrs, had a respray with Greg Howell back when nobody knew him and then a five page feature.....

Re: my 1st tank of fuel on my 1.8t

I put £25 a week in my 1.8T. I fuel up pretty much when the warning light comes on. The needle will be just over half a tank when I put £25 in. I can then drive roughly 210 before the light comes on again. If I drove the (roughly) 30 miles I have left on whats left I`d be able to do around 250 mil...

Do a search on eBay for Passat Spoiler and you`ll see a boot complete with spoiler for £50. Was looking for a roof spoiler and remember seeing it earlier

Re: Rear lights

I found a company called Tinted Tails whilst on the American site PassatWorld. If you do a google search I`m sure you`ll find them. They do all sorts of one-off designs on any lights. You just tell them what you want and they take them apart and repaint them. The photos would give you some ideas, yo...

Not seen this wagon before but I like it alot. my kinda styling. I too have tinted headlight covers, decided it was the best way to do it. I see loads of people looking at them at shows. I took mine off for its MOT, never been stopped for them and I run a tinted front plate too

Re: 1.8T MPG?

I have a standard 1.8T Sport Estate, my journey to work is 12 miles each way. I`m lucky because I have a 60mph road for 5 miles then a dual carriageway for another 5 miles. I get around 35mpg. I hit over 40mpg last night cruising on a dual carriageway for a few miles at 55mph. The best ever was a 9 ...

Merc Rims to VW?

I`m pretty sure alot of Mercs have the same 5x112 pcd as the Passat. I`ve found some wheels I like that have been on an E and C Class Merc. I don`t believe they will fit straight on though, the hub is`nt exactly the same as the Passat`s. Any idea how much an adaptor would be?

Is this a standard 16' steel wheel found on lower spec Passat`s? The part number is 3B0 601 027 A I need to find out what the three last digits are of the part number, I`m told its a colour code. Can`t quite make them out in the photo. Can anybody zoom in on the photo somehow? Looks like OVC http://...

Re: ADVISE - Buy an estate of keep my saloon?

Can`t recommend an estate enough, last night I had to put a cupboard in the back, no problem!

They look cool, are rare modded, have great presence and can hold a hell of alot of stuff. I don`t think ure suspension will fit an estate and neither the interior but I may be wrong

Maybe do a p/x
