Re: Passat cc buying advice
Good choice :) If you can afford 2010 onward then that would be best as all have 100mm oil pump hex key not the troublesome 77mm key from those pre-2010. As said GT models have all the nice stuff and look much better with factory tints etc, mine had even more option ticked on top, winter pack ...

Two separate issues i reckon there. Overboost is quite possibly sticky turbo vanes as you suggest.
Down on power and very fumey sounds like your timing is out. Check the torsion value with VCDS, google should help with this one

First try pressing the i (info) button in the top right and see if your are connected to satellites and if the current location is correct. I'd be happy with either of those brands maybe worth the extra couple quid for the bosch one. Check the end of the sensor for damage from the magnetic ring before fitting a new one too, have seen a few swell up and rub the end of the sensor away will do .. any idea to the part number for the ...

Hi Kartman. The wires look ok and i was wondering if it could be the control module on the window regulator. Does anyone know if they are just plug and play or do they need to be coded to work. Cheers I guess it is possible it has failed, I think they have to be coded to the car but I am sure ...

How about the connectors between the door shut and door edge, common to break wires and get water ingress, maybe stopping power getting to the motor?

Re: ABS Speed sensor Hub whell bearing
The ABS 03841 probably relates to rear left sensor, my guess would be thats the hub with issues, jack up that corner and see if there is play in the bearing, worth checking sensor too, not sure the details your reader gives but you would get more from VCDS as below: 03841 - RPM Sensor Rear Left ...

Re: ABS Speed sensor Hub whell bearing
Likely to be the wheel bearing in the hub that has play in it although mine did well over 100k before it went so 45k seems low mileage for it to happen. The pickup is built into the back of the hub and with weight on the car the slight play in the bearing makes the hub wobble and the 'air gap' go ...

Re: Driveshafts - Drivers Side vs Passenger side
Good advice form maclee but it does depend if it is inner or outer you need to change. I have just done an inner on my CC. Seems these passats are hard on inners too, probably doesn't help that mine is lowered and mapped with a good chunk more torque, i think my outers are still original at 164K ...

The Meyle joint sent was entirely the wrong one so went with an SKF one from Amazon. Prime got it to me too late on Saturday and beers and BBQ were calling so cracked on Sunday morning. Had it done before lunch, slowed down by an annoying track rod end nut not wanting to come undone and lack of ...

Re: Driveshafts - Drivers Side vs Passenger side
They are definitely substantially different in length so you won't be able to use the one from the drivers side on the passenger side. So it will be a shaft off and replace joint on the passenger side job i'm afraid. There are several different joints used on the B6 as maclee states so it is a ...

I can recommend the below:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B015QTPXVA
I use it in the back of my CC.
A small faff getting dogs in and out but the side bits are worth it for the protection of door cards etc

Re: ABS pump location
If its like my CC its at the back almost underneath the battery you should be able to see an ali block with several pipes coming out of it, I think the abs ecu is part of the valve block so if you removed it you would not be able to drive the car as the pipes would be disconnected therefore no ...

Re: vw cc rear abs sensor
As above likely to be the wheel bearing in the hub that has play in it. The pickup is built into the back of the hub and with weight on the car the slight play in the bearing makes the hub wobble and the 'air gap' go out of range hence the intermittent code. Worth checking the sensor as mentioned ...

B6 (CC) front end vibration, clunk/pop
Hi everyone, something is amiss on my CC front nearside that I cannot pinpoint and wondered if others had experienced similar (same as b6 front strut etc i believe). It started as a mild vibration when cornering right at speed. This has recently got worse and the vibration is quite bad, it is almost ...
