MOT FAIL! corroded front subframe

2003 140k miles 130 Sport 6 speed wagon just failed its MOT because of a corroded front subframe Local independent reliable garage who did the MOT says it's not worth bothering to repair it. Too big a job for the age/value of the car. I'm guessing it is a right pain in the *&^% to replace the fr...

Re: Alarm Woes

our 2003 B5.5 Sport Estate has just last night started having the same alarm woes
Have had to disconnect the battery and manually lock the car so the neighbours don't complain
Will try latches lubrication solution and see if this cures it [hopefully!]

Did that method successfully for 4 of those 5 bolts
That darn 5th bolt was rust/welded in place
No way that one was coming out!
Hence I'm thinking replace the beam with a [self] refurbed 2nd hand one

YuP it is the solar sunroof feeding juice to the heater blower fan to maintain ventilation air flow when parked up on a sunny day One of the reasons I bought the particular 130 Sport Wagon I have as it came with this W8 feature Works great if you tilt that solar sunroof slightly open on a hot sunny ...

Fuse 31 15A controls cruise and reversing lights , even though you might not have cruise the software is there hense retrofitting , obviously controls some fueling . Anyone know of anyone or anywhere to get a key cut from boot lock barrel or rekey a barrel? Sounds as if your boot lock key is different from the others? You should be able to obtain a replacement barrel to suit the rest of the Locks on the car (so you can use just one key), from a dealer, but you ...

Rear Caliper Bracket Bolts

Anyone know of a source of 2003 B5.5 Estate Rear Caliper Bracket Bolts?
I would normally go OEM for such a part
But with COVID-19 Lock Down the local dealerships are all closed
Looked on FLeaBay
All I can seem to find are the similar bolts for a later B6
Would those B6 bolts fit perhaps?
