If i spend any more money on the car ill be in big trouble.

I haven't even told her about the suspension.

Ill have to get them delivered elsewhere and fit them without her knowing.

They do make quite a bit of difference. The 16's were very wallowy and did make for a comfortable ride.

Now with the 18's it seems a bit more harsh but i can live with it. Hopefully the springs wont make it to bad. It will look much better though.

I went down that route with my golf and it cost me a small fortune.

Once I have my springs all thats left is the radio.

It's a family car which only gets used a few times a week. I have a van for daily use.

I can't see any ultrasonic sensors in the car. Where would they be located?
I'll try it in a min. If it works it can't be the horn. If it doesn't ill have to check the connections tomorrow.

I read a thread on vw vortex about changing it from a horn honk to a chirp.

Maybe that's the difference. Looked like a lot of work though.

When I press the steering wheel the horn does work.

I did that this morning. Unfortunately it didn't work.

Ok so i did it. Ordered that eibach set from ebay.

Got my new tyres today so fit the wheels tomorrow.

Then hopefully get the spring kit on next weekend.

Then im done with the mods apart from the stereo. Do i go RNS 510 or aftermarket?

It took me about 3 mins mate. A very simple fix.

I would say if your going to get coilovers spend the money.

If not maybe go for the eibach pro kit with new dampers.

You wont get as much drop but it will still be comfortable.
