Re: B6 suspension woes....
I had the same issue as you, not a 4 motion but my B6 was on standard, then Fk coilovers , but the new addition to the family meant changing for something a little more comfy, without breaking the bank! So I ordered a set of eibach pro kit springs, 4 trw strengthened drop links, poly bushes and bils...

Re: Arm rest/centre console
Got an7 pictures? You can remove the top armrest peice to look closely at the mechanism, take off the rear panel with the vent/ashtray and you can then remove the top part that you lean on. There are two metal arms that slide into the sleeves you should be able to see when the rear trim is removed

Re: Dreaded Abs Fault??!!!!
It's a possibility, I have messaged the chap who works at the garage who fitted them just to check what part of the rear hub / calipers he touched but I do know that the lower rear strut bolt is completely seized so he's fitting a new rear near side hub on Tuesday with the actual coilover shock as a...

Also thanks Greg and goldfazer, I might be popping down t...

Re: retro fit cruise control
Look on YouTube at golf mk5 cruise retrofit, tells you the procedure, you have to strip off steering wheel to gain access to slip ring and lower steering module, then you need to remove wipers and trim in engine bay to gain access to ecu where a pin is inserted there :) I had a quote of £150 for ki...

Re: Oh dear - looks like it wasn't just VAG at it....
The vw 'scandal' was just taken too far by the media, the knock on effect it has had on the automotive sector is huge, I have experienced this first hand as I was a contractor for an oem hoping to secure a position with the interior design team but then told to pack my bags pretty much. As a graduat...

Hey chaps wondering if anyone can shed some light on this, in the summer my B6 started rough on turnover. Now it does it every time i start the car. Always fires up but instead of a smooth transition, when i push the key in its quite harsh and a slight jolt before it starts, its getting to the point...
