Has anyone removed the aux fan on a 2002 TDI? I need to change mine as it doesn't spin when the air con is on. It looks very tight to get at, but maybe someone has an easy way of replacing it. A B6 saloon one fits. The little brackets that hold it up are different but you can make them fit.

3B0857511JY20 is the part number for self dimming rear view mirror with 2 red led's underneath and an on/off switch.
Part number is for the grey coloured one. There is also a beige one.
This plugged straight into my 2002 no problem. The leds come on with the ignition.

I can vouch for the above software, once you've deciphered the language it's quite easy.

If you end up needing a mirror I have a grey one which is perfect. I only took it off as I wanted one with a switch and leds.

Alright guys, I liked the idea of having the mirror with the switch and LED's (which RUM4MO bought) so bought one from the dealer. The price I was quoted was £165. including vat!! I changed my front discs and pads last year and I'm sure they were 312mm so will have to go 16 or bigger.
