I think also the 6-speed box has a higher maximum torque input. I think I'm also right in saying that 5-speed TDI 130 engines have a lower maximum torque output than those fitted with 6-speed boxes.

Off work today, so I thought I'd have a look. With engine warm, I found the value was fluctuating between -3.3 and -2.8. So whipped off the cambelt cover, undid the 3 small bolts, and tweaked the cam a bit (by using an 18mm spanner on the central bolt). Tightened up, restarted, rechecked. Now -8 :D ...

If you're on your own and want to get more pressure than the Eezibleed provides, you can always use the Eezibleed with a lowish pressure to make sure no air gets back in, but then go and pump the pedal yourself to your heart's content, I'm sure pedal pressure generates a lot more PSI in the fluid. Interesting. Might have a check of this myself. I changed my cambelt some time back, used the locking tools etc, but never knew you could follow this procedure to fine tune.

Presumably the same syncro angles apply to the AVF engine.
