the golf wheels sound like montreals going by the et and cant see why you would spend a couple hundred quid on adaptors to fit them or tbh any mk4 gti wheels other than longbeaches or RC's when there are better 5x112 options out there

Your not,ive personally ran A8 reps and babied them through a winter with dual weekly polishing and they lasted okay although I clipped a stone on the motorway to perth that took out a 3/4inch section off the lip but weve had inumerable sets in at work enquiring about fixes for cracks or flat spots ...

et35 on a standard 7" rim will turn out to an extra 1 1/2" out from the standard 7" face which may still only get you flush,I ran 8's and 10's at et20,run them with stretch and you wont even need arch work,id run your 7 1/2"s at @et 18 with 215/35s and your 10's at et 22 with 225...
