Passat 1.9 tdi bxe engine

When start up and driving it sounds like a bottom end knocking but when u go over about 2500-3000 rpm in 3rd gear car belts out black smoke then the knocking goes, I have done some research and few people have said it's the camshaft any ideas?

I'm thinking correct that the blanking plate goes on the inlet side and the side it sits back to back with throttle body is left as normal?

I'm wanting to do an egr delete on my passat 1.9 tdi bxe engine code do I need to fit the pipe that is supplied by darkside or will I get away with just fitting the blanking plates

Lately my passat has been going through oil like never before, I can't find any oil leaks at all on engine any ideas on where this oil is going? It's recently had a new turbo fitted

I've had my car remapped and egr has been removed off the ecu I just need to purchase the blanking plate any idea where to get it from?

I'm needing to no what parts I need to do the delete

Drivers headlight isn't working and there's only 8 volts at the plug on headlight nd 0 volts at the h7 plug
