Well, got the car back and a bill. £460.94. Seems a few more faults been found. I will try and rectify them as the days go on.
Hopefully Pete will add a pic of the bill and you can see for yourselves what work was carried out and let me know cos it makes no sense to me.

RAC have picked up the car and delivered it (against my wishes I must add) to Capitol VW.
I am expecting a figure of £4k to repair this car.
