Re: Straight through exhaust

Yes I do, but do I think they are right to do so no I don't, Personally I think they are leaving for all the wrong reasons and I do believe it will be damaging to their economy like the Euro has been to Ireland, Spain, Greece and Italy. They have little hope of starting their own currency as it wou...

Re: to those who have dpf systems..

I had a dpf on my 2004 vectra cdti. It was only standard on the estate but was also offered as an option on the hatchback version. Not a vag I know but that was the first time I came across a dpf! It soon found itself removed tho :)

Re: Bmw E30 325 I M Tech

I love these mate, go for it. Ive always fancied one. Defo the 325 mTech. I like the look of the convertible ones when the roof is down. Something about the simple shape, on a nice set of 17" bbs with streched rubber. Mhhhh

How about putting on a layer of scotchguard or 3m transparent protector film on the section of bonnet in contact with the bra? Thats what I would do if I got one

Re: B5.5 Wagon in the sun

I tried out the 3M headlight restoration kit this morning and i was pleasantly surprised. The lights didn't look too badly damaged when i started but after i did one the difference between the two was huge! I didnt have time to do the other one today as im busy attempting to lay a patio in the back ...

Well i thought i may as well get a thread started on here as i was just posting in the thread i started in the intro section! What and where are these "positive crankcase ventilation pipes"? I have a 1.8t and i have no mayo issues but i may aswell clean the pipes to prevent it happening! Doing the headlight refurb, checking plenum drains and mending my bonnet release catch tomorrow so may as well add it to my lit...

Re: Widebody B5 wagon with 10.5x20 maserati's

I think the OZ ones look great and would suit it. If you like them then go for it, who cares if they were for a merc :) Personally i think something along the lines of the Lamborghini Teledials off the older models like the Diablo would suit your car. If you can get some made in 20" with a mass...

Re: Shock absorbers.

Thats the kit I had and it will not dissapoint you! Handling is litteraly awesome but its not crashy or too bumpy. I regularly had my car fully laden with a full boot of suitcases and a family of 4 and never had any issues on trips from lincoln up to the north of scotland. That seems around the norm...

Re: Shock absorbers.

Im positive the B4 shocks are exactly the same spec as the oem ones. Some people have said they are slightly softer than the standard shocks. B6 are uprated shocks, same height as oem unless you use lowering springs.. B8 are uprated and shortened shocks. The B12 kit includes B8 shocks and matched ei...

Re: Shock absorbers.

If you want to spend a bit extra, I would recommend the Bilstein B12 Pro kit. They come with matched eibach springs. The dampers are slightly shorter than the B6 dampers. I had this setup on my last car and it transformed the car, seriously impressive handling :)

Yep I think it could look sweet if it matches the interior colour too :) There is a chance I could take a set of coulovers back with me as hold luggage if I visit the uk on leave and fly back RAF airways lol. Re: Finally going to be reunited with the b5.5

Since its really dusty and sunny out here, ive noticed alot of cars with sun damaged bonnets. What ive been toying with is the idea of a bonnet bra :o I know these are not everyones cup of tea but it would serve a purpose out here and help protect the leading edge of the bonnet which is where the da...

Cypriot B5.5 Wagon

Since ive finally got the car over here and finally got it out the port and registered and got it through a cypriot MOT (which lasts 2 years). It passed with flying colours apart from the tyres, not that there was anything physically wrong with them. Here in cyprus each axle must have identical tyre...

Re: 19s....shall I ...

You couldn't have made my point better. A lower stance and nice wheels isn't having something different, in the VW world that is conformist. I disagree, I've always liked a lower stance and nice wheels just to have something a little different. Off course it is "different"!! And its hardl...
