WAZ1 do you have an earlier version SD as I understand you can downgrade as well as upgrade.

My supplier suggests that a new version is about to be released. Will keep this thread informed. cornishbloke, did you get anywhere with yours?

Have a look at linked thread on the B7 forum. It seems there may be problems with the v10 update but I didn't find any with v9.

I deleted all saved destinations including 'Home' but I am still getting the system re-boot every few minutes.

WAZ1 Did you install the v10 software or run it from the SD card? Also have you checked to ensure that the system is using v10? You can do this by holding down the 'Setup' button for about 10 secs then use the menu presented to get to various details about the RNS 315 including map version.

I have a couple of saved destinations on mine. Will delete them and see if it then behaves properly. Will report back the results. At the moment I'm running from the SD card as I don't know if the system would allow me to revert back to v9 for which I also have the SD - anyone know if it is possible...

Stop start doesn't produce any error codes on mine in cold weather. Did the scan not reveal anything?

Just had this fault occur again. I noticed that the lights on the centre console that indicate when passenger air bag is disabled flashed on/off a few times with corresponding message on the dash and the air bag warning light on the dash came permanently on. All this happened in very cold conditions...

I have previously had the airbag warning come up. It seems that once it is triggered it does not clear even if the cause self corrects. I cleared the fault code using VCDS and it has not re-appeared.

You should find a switch in the glove box to disable/enable the passenger airbag that is operated with the car key.

Does the RNS 315 unit as fitted to my 2012 Passat have a security code that I will need to reset if the battery is disconnected. If so where can it be found (I bought the vehicle new)?

I have just had the 100,000 mile service carried out on my 2012 Passat 140 diesel Sport saloon. The brake pad wear is reported as 65% worn on fronts and 30% on the rear. These are the original pads - not bad after 100,000 miles I think! What are others getting?
