1.9 tdi coolant/cooling system

Hi guys,
I seem to have a problem with my cooling system and it losing fluid. It's a b5.5 1.9 high line 05 plate.
Is there any known 'weak' areas I should check first.
I'll be doing all the work myself so just wanted to check with you guys before I find a pressure tester and block tester.

Cheers

Re: How much coolant should my passat take ?

no need to take bumper off. just pull the nearside lower grill off. theres a piece of rubber, just move it and you can see the bleed screw. takes about 30 seconds. Sent Using My Thumb On My Iphone Like A Big Boy It takes 30 seconds to find it but if its like mine it'll take 30 minutes to drain out ...

Ah right a fairly quick job then, I may leave it until the weekend anyway. Knowing my luck at the moment the turbo will probably fall off or something haha

How long did it take you to change the thermostat and the sensor? I'm just wondering it I should wait until the weekend or if I could do it after work one evening.

I haven't seen it above 80c yet and I've only managed to get in the low 40's for mpg. I haven't done any long motorway trips so mpg is a bit iffy

They stay in outbox until they have been read by the person you sent it to.
Well that's how it works on the other owners club I'm part of.

For the warranty, would I come back to you as your the seller or the manufacturer?
Also would it be the same price for a 6000k kit for my b5.5?

Quantum platinum or longlife 3? 130tdi

Hi guys, Looking at getting some oil for my oil change but am unsure on which to buy. I've got a 1.9 tdi b5.5 on an 05 plate. I've read that platinum is for pd engines but from what I can see in my service history they've used longlife 3. Which one should I be using? They are both around the same pr...
