Re: Frozen shut doors
Good response guys, although it took you a shameful 25 posts to mention KY jelly ! The outer door rubbers tops and top sides have that felt like material that I think holds water like a sponge, hense the freezing shut. I now remember somewhere in the VW manual its says to use silicone to recondition...

Thats right, you didnt give a price for your genuine Golf mk5 arm, cap and blade.
But on fleabay they're less than a tenner delivered, non genuine of course.
Any others got 1 from fleabay ?

I do love and believe you guys
dubber, I doubt, not that I've tried TPS that a genuine mk5 golf, arm, blade and cap will come to a tenner.

Touran Polo Golf upgrade rear wiper size
Fleabay has a good few to upgrade our estates, however they come in different sizes. So which one ? Most abundant is a 26 cm arm with a 33.4 cm blade. Others a 26/41 and one 16/33.4 I feel a 16 cm arm is too short and a possibly a typo. Also depends on how they measure their arm. My stock set up mea...

Yes, the ecp QX 5w 40pd oil is the spec, or a more expensive 5w 30 longlife vw specific.

Curves could be better, torque peak rounder and power tails off at 4k, other maps 4700 rpm.

Resonance 1300-2000 rpm
Hard to describe, its through the gears at this rpm range. Louder and more evident at low gear cruising speeds.
Not bad enough for me to worry about. Havent drven another to compare, so is it a character of the car ?

Same problem here. Neither pollen filter housing seal or plenum drains have been investigated yet. Carpets are dry but havent taken up yet to look. Re: Bidet.
Much beautifulness.
How does it differ from a Touran one ?
I presume a Touran one parks on the right also ?
My estate is a early 03 so parks to the left, so I need to get a right park motor as on later 1's ?
Repair kits are £40+ and new Bosch motors £50 so Id go new motor.

Does your squirter follow the sweep of the wiper, or shoot straight up all the time? It should not move. If it does, the chances are it has seised and the copper pipe that carries the screen wash through the motor will have twisted and snapped. That's what happed to mine and I fixed it using a repa...

Had a boost gauge fitted in my 1.8t and was wondering how much boost I should see after a remap. Mine makes 15psi and then drops to about 13 psi. Re: Vinyl wrapping rims
Difficult and pointless.
Unless its a show car, cant see the vinyl lasting as long as a bonnet or roof wrap due to brake dust and wet poo that gets thrown at wheels, if you scuffed them how would you touch up ? Stick a patch over it, its not going look good for long.
