A little update on the B4, time for a bath..

One bucket and one sub 2yr old child. Slave labour, don't you just love it. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/Techie_1976/Car%20Washing/100_0983.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/Techie_1976/Car%20Washing/100_0984.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/Techie_1976/Car%20Washing/100...

Re: Ideas for my Polo Classic

Anything for the SEAT Cordoba (6K) will fit. Lots of potential for subtle modding in a 6K Polo, just dont make the common mistake of thinking its the same as a MK4 Polo, it aint. Not in MK I had to go to Bozeat, rent is £200 per month inc £50 council tax to Wellingborough CC, illegitimate child.

Long long waiting list though.

Few more pics from Sunday, nice day for it so spent the morning removing yet more sound deadening and prepping the bulkhead. Decided it would actually be easier rather than filling all the holes to just make a new bulkhead panel from scratch, this will be done shortly. http://i34.photobucket.com/alb...

It might work. Better idea is to sort what is causin the musty smell - bacteria. Get your ac system cleaned properly using an ultrasonic cleaner. VW dealers are offering specials on it (or at least were). £99 gets you.. Air con regas and leak check Ultrasonic cleaning of evaporator New pollen filte...

I had a similar experiance the other day. Having a poo day at work I heard something roar about outside. Thought no more of it until I heard it again. Wandered out the front of our dealership to see a red Enzo rolling about out industrial estate. Walked out and up onto the bank by the carridge way a...

If you only running a small amp say with 8awg wire then you could run direct from the bus bar under the drivers side panel and along the right hand side.

Run a 12v supply to the cut off valve, this will hold it open. Swap it with your old one to try it.

Re: Sub/Amp from stock head unit?

Nothing wrong with using the Bluespot adapter or getting a line out to RCA convertor. You dont get supreme clarity and its not a dedicated sub output but if you get yourself a passive cross over to use before the amp for the sub (unless the amp itself has one built in, which it may well) then it wil...

Re: Can you still buy brand new 1.8T engines?

Of course you can, a manufacturer is obligated to supply new parts for 10 years after production has finished.

I have bought many salvage engines, a few I have rebuilt for customers and a few havec ome with verified service history and warranties.

Re: b5.5 tie/track rod end - which tool for removal?

Make a not of the height of the track rod end before you remove it. Take out the 13mm bolt first before undoing the 16mm pinch bolt. The height of the track rod end adjusts a steering angle and should be set up correctly, if you gt it close to what it was you should be ok. Not all wheel alignment pl...

They will be fine mate I am sure.

Nowt wrong with spacers if you go for decent ones. I have 20mm at the back, bolt on hubcentric ones and had zero issues.

A little update, Not a massive ammount done due to doing customers cars and not my own. Since my last post I have now converted to MK3 VR6 front running gear. This gives increased track and uses larger hubs and bearings and more importantly larger driveshafts (std 16v ones tend to break with a 20vt)...

Hi Teddy,

6N and 6N2 are chassis prefixes and denotes what model.

i.e a typical chassis number would be

WVWZZZ6NZ1B123456

Each numner and leter denotes something about the car, model, where its built etc.

More than likely the pollen filter housing.

It wont feel wet down the 'slope' as the water runs behind it and the carpet is very thick there.
