I'm mega impressed what a new battery has done for starting!

Well this morning was productive fitted a new battery and boom she fires faster than ever! Really pleased I done that before the winter!!

Then came the bad news the drivers window just dropped so that's this weekends task

I've just spoke to the company of that door lock mechanism and they asked if it was the 8 pin type I needed?

how would I know that?

are all b5.5 not the same mechanism?

While I'm in there it has a faulty door lock mechanism what's the ones like on eBay?

I'm absolutely foaming!

The drivers windows just dropped so when I try and put it up or down it doesn't work and you can hear things moving in the door!

So I put it in a garage to fix or is it a DIY

I'll go with 110 as well so will check with VW /TPS in the morning while she's in the garage for a rattle on the engine which is either a worn belt on the front of the engine or the tensioner I'll also check with the garage who are doing the work how much they charge for a battery

Driving up the A1 this morning I heard a funny noise and when I checked my mirrors I noticed the drivers side roof strip / gutter hanging off!! It looks like they sort of squeeze in and double sided sticky tape to secure! Are they hard to remove as I'll remove the other side and clean the gutter out...

Morning all I've noticed for a while now but havnt been bothered to do anything about on all doors the chrome trim running along the bottom of the glass is full Of mud and it's actually starting to grow little plans from it so I'd like to get them off and clean them properly if that's possible

No it was a guy called Ray! Bit of a genius with VW's can change the colour of the clocks and make electric folding mirrors and pretty much anything oem

Just an update! I've had it fixed thank god! Just like to say thanks for all the replys

I took it to a guy in Stockton who seems to be a bit of a wizz kid with VW's so it's in properly and working!
