Re: ==GROUP BUY /REMAPS ==2012/13

Hi Chaps, I'm certainly able to do a 'north' and a 'south'. It looks like 'north' is going to be Rochdale and I guess we can see what seems to be most central for the 'southerners'. I'm going to assume this is something to be done in the new year, correct me if I'm wrong though of course ! Also, I a...

Re: Petrol or Diesel

As the other guys have said, the diesel is your best option. I guess the 2.0 petrol will return maybe 30mpg but won't be a particularly exciting drive, whereas a remapped turbo engine (petrol or diesel) will certainly put a grin on your face :-P My vote is the diesel! Oh and to answer your question,...

I agree, it probably is. But, for the few mins it takes to do a running log then it's got to be worth it. Especially for remote diagnosis !

Look at this thread. Quite likely the same problem
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=44527
Get it scanned, then get it logged, you really need to try and diagnose the problem before just spending time and money on parts etc.

Re: Limp Mode - 17965 fault - Have checked everything!

Log block 011. Foot down fully from about 950rpm to redline in 3rd gear. It will probably go into limp mode again doing this. If you don't know how to graph this then zip the file and email it to me simon(a)ccctech.co.uk. I'll bet the vanes are sticking. This can hopefully be solved without enormous...

So does he have the 177bhp version ? You will have the 136bhp variant, the torque output is the same at 320Nm. It's no drama to remap though.

Re: Updated Pricing

Hi pugboy, What year is your Touran ? I've got the same engine as your mate in my coupe E46. We can minimise the egr functionality though the s/w - turning it off completely causes a MIL. He can blank it if he wishes though. More important though I think is to remove the swirl flaps - tell him to co...

Re: Updated Pricing

Hi Luke, The total price is £199. We would take data logs before and after to ensure everything is working correctly. Dan, due to it being a while since you posted, I guess you may have done the exhaust upgrade now ? It doesn't really matter, but ideally you should do it before having it mapped. Rg...

Re: Updated Pricing

Hi Matt, Apologies for the slow response ! They go to about 135bhp and 250 to 320Nm. The price for these EDC16 ECU's is £295, it will be a bit less at the gathering next w/e though. I honestly wouldn't expect your economy to drop, but if you insist on racing starts and accelerating towards red ligh...

Re: Updated Pricing

There are mechanical differences between the 140 & 170, so if you want to get 200bhp you will need to make the relevant mechanical mods. If you are interested in doing this then drop me an email so I can get back to you with all the differences between the two. simon(at)ccctech.co.uk cheers Simon.

Re: Updated Pricing

It is an EDC15 ecu. You can expect to see 170bhp and 400Nm realistically. I certainly wouldn't expect you to see a drop in economy, if you do your maths on a 5% improvement then you shouldn't be far out. Tom, apologies - overlooked your post  It depends on how its been treated/serviced etc and...

Stick a merc maf on it also  I can map it if you wish. It does need the ecu removing and the chips desoldering. I do travel out to customers also btw. The price is £229 on these ECU's.
