the alloy head seat was fine, i cleaned it up with fine wet n dry, before assembly
howey... are you asking me? if so not sure, why? heaters working fine!

thanks for the advice guy's... the O ring i used was supplied by a dealer so should have been the correct size, the one i removed was flattened, ill have a look for a part no

i fitted a new o ring.. i completly removed the housing and couldn't see any damage

hi ive a b5 1.9tdi engined wagon, ive a problem with coolant leaking from around the top block connection, its a plastic housing that that bolts to the head, ive changed the O ring and re assembled it all with some gasket silicon, but its still leaking, anyone else had this problem

hi, i thought id solved this one... ive a warning on my B5 waggon "check oil level" plus the orange oil can displying on the dash! ie checked the level and it was on the lower mark on the dipstick so topped it up but the warnings are still displayed! do i have to reset oris there a problem? does ...

can anyone tell me what th standerd radio is that was fitted to my 99 1.9tdi estate? the sony replacement one thats in mine has rubish reseption and id like to revert back to stock!

ok i know no one has replied to this thread asking for help, but thanks to the postings of others.. this forum has helped me fix all my electrical problems today :D cleaned the 3 red wires with blue tracers and reconnected them together re connected the battery and everything is back working again ...

ok after looking a little closer at the wires covered in the blue powder, i removed the fabric wirer wrap cleaned all the wires of the blue dust stuff to find that a red wire with a blue trace (3 wires jointing) seems to be the blame for the corrosion! and have separrated ill disconnect the battery ...
