Re: CC's for 4

They will be there, but you'd have to pull the parcel shelf up to fix the other end because they've got 3 point seatbelts in the middle. I haven't seen just lap belts in cars for years.

They are practically the same car so saloon seats should go straight in.

Mines on a 10 plate an it's got 5 seats. Not sure when they changed but at a certain age you could specify whether you wanted 4 or 5 seats

CC DRL's, mk2 and detango'd indicators

for those of you that saw my first crude attempt, i have had a few problems with the leds as in one blows (probably due to a voltage spike) and as a result the rest in that circuit stop working. this time, ive decided to use a voltage regulator to acurately set and regulate the voltage coming from t...

Re: CC 170 GT DSG sluggish from standing start

Cheers rrobson, by the way I like the grill in your picture - is that your car? Rob Yeah, but it's nothing special, just a plain picture that's negative thanks to paint. Give it a few week, you will soon learn how it delivers its power on a start. As said above, once your off it will soon pick up s...

Re: CC 170 GT DSG sluggish from standing start

It's exactly the same with mine. You can get it to set off quicker If you play with the amount of throttle as in apply half pressure until it sorts itself out, then floor it. I also found having auto hold on is a real killer for fast starts. Whenever I need to set off quick I turn it off and sit wit...

Yeah, if I'd have known I would have done it my self. Not difficult to pull calipers off I'm really surprised that's what it was though, they were making a right racket... I had my money on shocker! It had got steadily worse over the last few month, probably due to the weather. As for the front, it'...

Re: 2010 cc suspension knocking front and back

Right, those that offered advice it was greatly appreciated. There seems to be little help with faults unless it affects everyone with that model??? Or will these wheels fit, what colour should I do this :-?? Also seems to be little in the way of follow ups of problems. So not much help when threads...

2010 cc suspension knocking front and back

right, had this car nearly a year, and a few month a noise began coming from the rear near side. im pretty sure its suspension related but is a really strange noise. its more like a rattle than a knock but sounds muffled. this only occurs when driving over rough/uneven roads and is getting really an...

Re: My new CC project.

I've been looking for the r line kit a bit back and didn't really have any luck. I will be watching to see if you get them, make sure you say where get them from if you do.

Where did you get the lights from? I got a quote to have mine sprayed but it was 200 quid, bit much!

Re: Removed a seized lock in one piece - what's wrong with i

They burn out basically because when motors stop spinning, current flowing through the windings builds up and creates heat which burns off the insulation inside (on the rotor) the brush gear can also burn out. Once the insulation has burnt off and the windings touch each other, electricity doesn't f...

Re: Removed a seized lock in one piece - what's wrong with i

Nice write up :) This however isn't the first time I've seen this. I've changed dozens of them on other makes and they usually all stem back to a failed motor. They just aren't man enough but obviously a bigger motor takes up more room, cost more money etc etc. I've seen similar motors used on inlet...

Re: Another tyre question, conto3 vs eagle f1 asy 2 ?

I had contis 5 on mine, always found the front was a little unsettled in quick bends but understeer was always predictable and they were pretty quiet on motorway runs. They didn't last as long as I thought they should though, only about 15k. After some digging I found that the goodyears got a pretty...

Re: Shell Diesel Users. V-Power or Regular ??

V power for three reasons

The fuel has stronger cleaning agents in which obviously keep the engine clean

It returns a higher mpg figure which more than offsets the cost of the fuel

Double points at the min so get better vouchers through every few month :esm

id have said one or more led was wired in the wrong way. if youve bought the ones i did they are very easy to get the wrong way because there is no obvious posetive or negative pole. what i did to make sure is test each one with two 1.5v batteries just to make sure. thats the problem with wiring in ...

Yeah I know but I've got some winter tyres off an old car which were 16's so would save me some money instead of buying wheels and tyres. Not really bothered how it looks, more bothered about ruining the wheels that are on
