Re: Adblue.......???

you car DOES NOT have adblue, the only pasts that do are the very much newer models and have a small blue filler neck next to the fuel filler. The small hole/clear pipe you've found is a drain hole incase of fuel spillage/water ingress into that area. DO NOT pour adblue down there or it will pour al...

Re: DTUK tuning box for 1.6TDI

Guys, a plug in resistor box aint something you should be putting in your lovely B8's. Find a proper mapper, rather then melting an engine. guess your lack of research is what has fuelled your response DTUK are far more than a "resistor box" I have one on my mk7 Golf GTi PP. Awesome drive...

Re: Handbrake. Auto' release?

for a definitive answer to this question Yes the Electronic handbrake should release when trying to drive off, a few things need to be done and happen when you are trying to pull away as mentioned already 1) Engine Running (obviously) 2) Drivers Seatbelt on 3) Drivers Door Closed 4) A positive attem...

Re: White to Red clocks problem!

there are 4 or 6 pins that are a different style connector and hence the soldering needed.

I swapped mine from red/blue to red/white easily within about 45 mins.

the adapter cable is by far the easiest way though

Re: Starting problems presumed electrical

to be honest though to the OP he started pulling fuses out to check them, I'm guessing (and it happens all to often) that not all the fuses are back in the right places and hence the massive issues since You need to check the fuse boxes at the end of the dash area to make sure that all the fuse spac...

Re: Starting problems presumed electrical

Turn the ignition on and disconnect the -ve (must be first disconnected and last connected). The ignition is supposed to be on when you re-connect. Didn't know this, is this a general rule for all cars? Why should it be on when you re-connect? Neither did I, but I came from scrott cars without any ...

Re: Smokey & the Faults

injector 4 is far too high the ecu will trim fuel to give a steady reading, what you might find is the injector seals are leaking and causing the over fueling on number 4 also 31000km since last regen? sounds like something is adrift there get the torsion value to 0 degrees too, but this needs to be...
