i'm getting a very noticable knock noise from the n/s front, this is when i apply the brake, not when I'm going over bumps, as I know if it was doing it on bumps i'd think it was one of the arms, This is something that needs looking at, but need some help on this. got my old passat re-gased, and the way i know it needd doing was that the climatronic flashed for 10 seconds when you first start the car, this ment it was well over due for a re-gas.

has anyone got there readings for the 1.8 turbo? and non turbo , just to see if mine is ok.

I'm getting on avg 37 mpg.
And when driving abit heavy about 30 mpg.

The best I've done on a lond trip is 41mpg.

Hi mate, being a 1.8 turbo owner aswell, I thought about doing his, but if you take the Cat away, it'll fail the M.o.T , but saying that, i de-cated one of my old cars which used to be a rover! and after removing the cat the emitions were all ok, so maybe you can get away with it, but get to a garag...

also has nice sports seats, and depending on the year, you'll get cd changer, rain sensative wipers, alloys, and a couple of other things but i'll get back to you.

I got quoted £50+vat to get this done at my nearist stealer.
it's one of those things you can't do anyway else, but let me know if you do.

I've got it in my head i what to change the 75n valve on my 1.8 T, due to it playing up some days, well i hope it's this.

Where can i get one cheap for starters, and how easy is it to fit?
I'm sure I saw a link somewhere, but it's not here now.
