Re: one for the tech heads- turbo/supercharging an engine
thankyou guys for taking the time to give honest answers, this car is driving me nuts, coming from a remapped `satt to this is dispiriting to say the least, was told to rev it hard as it`s a V-tech unit, all this does is produce a lot of noise & send the fuel consumption sky high! perhaps she`ll...

one for the tech heads- turbo/supercharging an engine
right then, straight out with it, can a 1339cc petrol engine (Honda IV-tech- that couldn`t pull a pram through a puddle!) be turbo or supercharged as a straight forward performance upgrade? or ANY engine FTM have a simple bolt on upgrade of one of these? yes I`ve looked online but I just keep gettin...

cSt - centistoke is the viscosity normally quoted at 40° and 100°C with engine oil . 1 cSt is about = to that of the viscosity of water . So the oil they want you to use is 130× thicker than water. Thanks Gaz, got the oil from a tool supply place today, no indication of viscosity or anything els...

can anyone put 130 cSt oil into plain english for me-please
I need to service my old Paslode nailgun, paslode won`t, saying it`s too old, it works fine once cleaned (check) but I can`t 'lube' it properly with the various oils/lubes I have. I already knew- WD 40 is a no-no as is 3 in 1? an in depth check online sez the proper paslode lube is 130 cSt (proper u...

GTECHNIQ Chrystal Laquer?
anyone tried GTECHNIQ chrystal laquer? I`ve been offered this with a 3 year warranty for 250 sheets, & I reckon I`ll take it, the reviews look great & the guy who initially suggested it to me gave a tip even the company don`t know about, he fell foul of the green eyed demon, then got back wi...

a friend runs a tyre & exhaust centre near me, I asked for a performance tyre as the Dunlop sports fitted were quite frankly frightening, he told me the Dunlops were designed for bigger heavier cars & gave me Toyo proxes tr1`s (must be Tr1`s mind, there are other proxes no where near as good...

The last I had heard it went bang, missed it on the forum if you replaced engine etc? engine replaced after head went porous, with a t4 1.9tdi unit with 72k on it, with 257k on my wagon ATT, so, mine has 267k on her now, but engine has 82k on it. Re: odometer & trip meter woes?
Hmmm. You could be a little more patient! 3 hours on a work day without an answer isn't very long .... :0 Without having had the problem myself I would guess that perhaps the mileometer screen has a dodgy connection, which means cluster out. Though I'm sure I've read about cluster issues here befor...

This is a strange one guys, the odometer & trip meter in my Y2k wagon have stopped working, thing is, the speedo's still going & sometimes when I look, the mileometer has regestered more miles, as if it's added the miles from the last trip (or some of them anyway, it's impossible to tell) an...
