Can you hear the drivers' door lock mechanism work?
Will it lock when unlocked after opening by pulling internal handle?

Re: Help with door warning lights

Do you have the car graphic when you go to first position on key?
Does that work giving front drivers' door open, front pax door open, bonnet open, and / or boot open?

Re: yellow steering wheel on dash ?

With engine on turn full lock left, hold there for 10 secs, turn full lock to right, hold there. Centre wheel. Hold there. Drive a few metres and steering light should go out. With wheel on centre, switch off. Wait a few mins. Switch on to IGN only. All usual dash lights should light. Now try IGN. A...

Re: Air filters

I've stayed with Mann filters -- pennies cheaper and used by VW anyway I'm up to Stage1 Superchips tune giving 232bhp on dyno (stock 190) and not noticed any loss of expected power when the loud pedal is used (usually against an Audi that thinks my '06MY estate couldn't waddle let alone run L-) The ...

Re: long brake pedal problems

When was brake fluid last changed? Should be every two years. Not DOT4 but to VW spec VW 501 14-B 000 750 and marked as such on the can. Yet another VAG ploy of expensive snake oil fluids like their genuine gearbox oils . I thought that until I picked up the previous Mk IX. Mind you, it had been st...

That shock isn't doing what it's meant to do if damp then -- with 75k up it'd be difficult to find one that matches the wear performance of your nearside one. So change out of both is in order. As long as they're not Monroe! I've had good experience with Boge on a Jag For the "Creak!" that...

Re: Door module supporting power fold

There were two suffix "L" modules -- the "MIN2" and the "MAX" or "MAX2" versions. They have different software numbers. The "MIN2" versions don't offer power folding, the "MAX2" ones do... VCDS interrogates the module and will use the appli...

Images are there now. You can't defrost and heat your legs at the same time. If that's what your requesting by your first graphic. The flap system doesn't allow it.

Re: Help with Climatronic controls (Stupid noob)

No images shown. You have to use an image (.jpg or .png) hosting site. And then post the URL of the image when it's uploaded to that site. I use Photobucket but on a slower computer it can get bogged down with adverts if you only use their free service. I've often had to re-boot to get away from the...

Re: Engine "shiver" at idle / Vibration

If DPF you should have the DPF yellow icon on your dash
You can force a DPF re-generation in VCDS if you want to be eliminate that
Or go for a long run with higher revs say keeping it in 3rd.

Pioneer lists only their AVIC range as being compatible with a B6 '08MY
But check with Connects2 to see whether they have any inter-connect parts suitable for your car and the SPH-DA120

There's also the question of whether it's compatible with your dash

There are things to fix on the B6 chassis that are common across years whether petrol or diesel, there are serious things wrong with TDi engines' cars across the chassis range, and there ar...

Yeah it was done a year ago, all was fine but I suspect it was set just within limits. Had a call from my local enthusiastic indy where my car is today and the timing is out as the pins won't locate so he is going to adjust it. Often shops don't use or have the proper lock pins tool. So they make T...
