all sorted, took to a local vw specialist after vw couldnt help
and he straight away spotted the front after market lights and said they tend to blow the backs fuses, he looked at the original fuse (WHICH DIDNT SHOW AS BLOWN) and changed and it worked
so solved

My trim code is flannel grey to, i have changed seats and door cards to black half leathers and wanna match the armrest so i dont have a number for it. But with the help above i am armed with info to go to local vw scrappy

There is no gasket on the air box , the rubber in the air filter acts as seal

I did the Egr delete , panel filter and 10k de chock can before the maf and it was like a new car, as you say not lumpy or "scary" then the maf the next day went in... its not that you need a remap when doing it it just helps making it more live able . its a little hard for me to explain, ...

well its gone up to 8.5 / 10 B-) today i needed to overtake (dont know how but was first time since this was fitted :roll: ) and dropped it down a gear and the 'sat went like a rocket :0 was quite suprised as when i used to, i had a peak as soon as foot went down then when i got parallel i was strug...

i have just fitted my new ultra lights they look very sexy , but when tested them, the drivers side side lights turn off when the full beam comes on (its only that side that does this) ive checked all the wires and connections as bumper is off at the moment ... so I am wondering if any one else has ...

Well driven for 50+ miles and all settled in now ( I guess) I do stop starts as a delivery driver using my car and changing has gained up to 5 mpg more for the town driving ( could be the later boost now) and apparently 10 more in the range total so happy enough, my friend is using my electric conta...

thanks for your reply, i had a look and fiddle in the halfrauds carpark, and all tight and on... took for a blast up the a12 and the car now feels how it was when first fitted, ie the power in 1.5 k and the higher revs in 2nd-5th.
