Wheels look nice mate.
Always amazes me how much a set of wheels can completely change the look of a car.

Re: What wheels are people running?
18's actually look very good on that. Although I imagine that is more to do with the low ride height.
Mine was lowered on Eibach pro springs which gave a 15mm drop in ride height over the standard sports springs.

Re: Passat cc 2009 R36 rear lights
R36 lights will not fit a CC.
Unless you mean the 3.6 CC and that has darker lights? If so, then yes they will fit a CC. The reverse light and the fog will be the opposite way around. Unsure if there are any regulations against this mind.

Re: What wheels are people running?
Go 18" Interlargo's , 19"+ means more cost with buckled wheels , blow outs , tyre bulges , tyre cost , and loss of performance , acceleration and mpg including ride quality through increased unsprung mass . 18's just look a smidge too small on the B6. I ran 19" interlago's on my old ...

Interior lights are not monitored by canbus. The footwell lights are, but non of the overhead lighting is.

if you want them dark then go dark grey. They won't look much better in gloss black than they do now.
Personally, silver is the way to go. Silver wheels look bigger and make the car look cleaner.

Re: LED number plate lights
If they are coming on for a few seconds and then turning off, they aren't canbus friendly. They are lighting up at first when you turn the lights on, but as they aren't drawing enough current, the canbus system is assuming there is a fault and then turning that circuit off completely, hence them shu...

New wheels look much better than the 3sdm. But I 100% agree with Gaz they need to be silver as the matt black looks awful against the gloss black car!
They certainly fit well though and the style suits the car much better than the 3sdm.

Re: New Passat owner, small issues
Wiring isn't in place, but if you buy a kit from Jaraz, it's literally a case of plugging repair wires into the plug on the door module and a small amount of coding. I did them all in a couple of hours.

Re: New Passat owner, small issues
If they are completely red, they are just reflectors. If they are red on the side and white on the bottom they are door warning/puddle lights. They come out easy enough to check. Will be obvious if removed. My R36 didn't come with them as standard and that was supposed to have all the bells and whis...

Newer wheel makes a huge difference. What was needed to do the swap? Anything or just the wheel itself? I currently have a similar wheel to your previous one!

Re: DSG odd problem
My DSG box does exactly this. I think its just a DSG characteristic. You have to remember that its not an Auto box, its a manual box that has electronic clutches and therefore requires a bit of change to your driving style. I've found if you turn Auto Hold off and allow the car to creep in D whilst ...

Re: 2.0 TSI Timing chain tensioner replacement?
My 2.0FSi rattled a bit from day 1, had the car 4.5 years and it still rattled when I got rid. It was noisy on tick over and that was it. If it's not rattling the chances are yours is still working fine. The tensioner doesn't fail as such they hydraulics within them stop working so the tensioner doe...

Re: Erm, which 2.0?
Think you may be getting muddled up between the TFSi and the FSi. I had a 2.0 Fsi sport (with Sat nav and full leather) which was the 150BHP engine. Lovely car, less problems than the diesels and still pretty quick for a big car. Engines can rattle a bit though because of the tensioner not working c...

Re: Front number plate surround
Id remove the grill and have a look at the back. The black plastic may well come off but will leave a recess, which if you are mounting the plate back on wont be an issue. On my R36 it was attached by using plastic expanding rivets. I removed it, but it left holes behind which annoyed me. I have now...

Ohh wow I did not know that. That's pretty cool if im honest. And because they tampered with the emissions does that mean it's not as powerful anymore or the power has stayed the same? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pretty sure they are still 300bhp. Makes you question how with the emissions sc...
