Stolen sat nav.

Going on from my broken window post. I know I was stupid cos I left my bracket on the windscreen and my sat nav in the armrest, but us simple country folk dont normally think of things like that. One thing I did learn from it is not to put your home address in your sat nav. The scroat that nicked mi...

Broken window

A bit back, some scroat smashed my passenger door window to nick my sat nav. Had the glass replaced next day and that was ok, but the fitter didn't bother to clean up. He also chewed up the internal handle and broke 6 door panel clips. They did pay for the new parts in the end though. Ive still got ...

Sounds like an interesting idea. Not sure that the square front of a Bora would work with the curves of the Mk3. I am pretty sure that the wings on a 3.5 are different to a Mk4 so that they meet up to the doors. Bora wings will need some serious modding. I think there is a Bora Estate in Europe. Nev...

Hello and welcome. Iv'e had a few cavs in the past. My old D reg SRi 130 was my favorite. It seemed very quick at the time, and I sometimes wonder what it would be like today. Had the dub bug now for the last 9 years. Have to say though, your rear engined passat estate project could do with a bit mo...

I like them. We've got private plates on our cars. Not only do other people not know how old the car is, I forget myself. It's saved me a fortune over the years. We've had my wifes car for nearly 4 years, which is unheard of for me. I also bought them for the kids too when they were born. Got to pay...

Have you checked the boot floor? A mates dad had his vectra rear ended by a TT yesterday. The tow bar on his car has pushed back and creased the floor. If he didn't have the tow bar it would probably only have damaged the bumper. As it is the car is only worth about £1000, it will probably be writt...

Sorry to but in. If your pollen filter was dry, your carpet should be ok. My pollen filter was changed when my old leon was serviced at a main dealer. They didn't fit the cover properly and water got in. It then finds it's way into the car via the heater. Wet carpets and steam from the vents. Not go...

My boy is 3. He loves to help me wash the car. He gets the hose and rinses the car, then himself, then me, then the inside of the garage (if I forget to shut the door), then the cat, then people on the road, in fact everthing ends up getting soaked.
All good fun :D

How long do your tyres last?

Iv'e got a V6 TDi on factory 17's with high rise suspension.

Getting around 10-12,000 out of the fronts, which I would expect, but only 25,000 out of the rears.

Any advance on that?

You should have a lever on your projector light on each unit, just flick it to the opposit position. This will remove the 15 degree kickup used in the UK. Takes five mins max, no need for tape on the lenses. Send me your email and I will send photos of how to do it. Can you show us all how to do th...

White is becoming the new must have.

With carfully chosen mods it will look sweet.

I saw a white new RS4 in a mag the other day. I wouldn't have thought it would have worked, but some how it looked so right.

Grey 4 Mo with chrome and tints. Sounds lush. Get some pics up quick. :D Fuel comsumption should be about the same as a FWD on the motorway cos it's mostly 2 wheel drive then anyway. But it all depends how hard you are pedalling. Poor consuption and lots of smoke probably means it's over fueling. Cr...

There are some pics of mine in members motors with factory 17's and high rise suspension.

I would rather save up a bit longer and go for 18's, Although you will need a slight drop to get the look right.
