Just bought a B6 estate 1.9Tdi

Buyer beware. Thought I'd found a good one. 120k miles legendary reliability and longevity but my dream has been shattered.
The engine although working fine and being quiet when cruising has developed a knock when pulling away to 3000rpm.
I'm not an expert but to me it sounds like a crankshaft knock.
Could anyone help me with their experience
