I've just bought a non running B7 with the CFFB engine, it was recovered with a reported failed cam belt, but so far I'm not sure of the belt has slipped or broken?
I repaired a 2015 Skoda Superb with the same engine last year, that one had suffered oil pump failure, the cam had seized in the head and the engine was destroyed, I just replaced the engine in that one, Did it on my own on the driveway!
I'd like to know people's experience of cam belt failure on this model, is there any chance I can just remove the head and either replace the bent valves or is it likely to ben more serious?
