Secure Boost Pipes?

Is there any way to get the turbo boost pipes on 1.9 tdi to fit a bit tighter? short of buying new one's?

Mine are beginning to leak. I checked the clips and metal lugs and they all look OK, but there is a 2-3mm gap between the metal pipe collar and the intercooler. Looks like they are pulling away under pressure but only at the top. (kind of pulling out of the female part,)

I read that some people put a self tapping screw into the connection to hold it tight. I've already changed the rubber seals that made not difference.
