Possible blown engine

Hi all. Stumbled across this site while looking to find what was wrong with my B6 TDI 140.
Its an 57 plate with 180k on the clock . Just had a full service with timing belt / water pump changed etc.
I was sat with the engine ticking over when it suddenly it started to sound like a tractor. I switched the engine off out if panic. It then wouldn’t fire up . Eventually it did and I limped to a garage a couple of hundred yards away. Mechanic took a look and said alternator clutch pulley so I limped home. Now it won’t start and oil pressure warning comes up. Plenty of oil in the engine though.
All injectors were changed under VW warranty in 2012 .
Heard things about the oil pump failing, if so my engine is probably scrap. How much is a recon engine with uprated oil pump these days?
Starting to regret selling my 130tdi B5 for this money pit now!
