P0299 Loss of Power?

Hi
Seems I've had my first problem today. Was driving home from work and noticed a drop in power especially going up a hill, I had my foot flat down at about 60mph and the speedo was dropping?
On a flat from start I gave it a good rev through the gears and it felt as if someone had turned the turbo off.
When I got back I connected my little tool and the following code came up. Initially I thought it was the turbo but usually you get signs before it goes.
I reset the code and turned the engine off and took it for a drive and it was back to normal again? The turbo was fully working.
Looking online there could be various causes? Anyone had experience here?
