18" Merc wheels and Offset

Hey guys
I'm looking at a set of Merc wheels for my B5.5 saloon. they are 18" 5x112, 8 1/2J ET44. would these go straight on the Passat??
Sorry if its a stupid question but wanted to make sure they would fit.
Any input or additional info that would be needed would be appreciated
